Social Services
The Social Workers job is to assist the residents and families to adjust to placement in the facility. They work with the psychosocial needs that may arise during the course of the individuals stay.

The Social Worker is an emotional support person as well as someone who assists the resident with issues such as facility living, mood financial issues, roommate problems, any individual needs and issues.

Our Social Worker meets with families and residents to discuss, evaluate and problem solve in order to focus on rehabilitation and the medical needs of a resident with minimal stress. Residents are encouraged to meet with any clinician as necessary to resolve any special concerns they may have. The Social Worker will assist residents and families to set up or coordinate these meetings for them. The Social Worker also acts as the residents advocate and will assist them in any way possible to make their stay a pleasant one.

The Resident Council meets once per month and gives the residents an opportunity to discuss issues pertinent to them while living in the facility. The Activities Director assists the residents with these meetings and helps resident to maintain an active and united voice in the facility. All recommendations and concerns are communicated to the Administrator for continued quality improvement.
