Short stay rehabilitation is designed to assist people who either are; in the hospital or who returned home from the hospital but need more time to recuperate. Reservations are taken in advance when scheduling surgery by contacting the Admissions Coordinator. A room will then be ready for you after your surgery with services to assist you to get back on your feet again.
Forestview – Short Stay Unit
The Highland Healthcare Center began helping individuals return home from our healthcare center in 1995. Today, the 12-bed short-term rehabilitation unit continues to serve members of the community and assist them in meeting their rehabilitative goals and discharge plans.
Forestview provides experienced rehabilitative care for most clinical needs including; orthopedic, joint replacement, amputations, stroke, cardiac, wound care.
Therapy Staff
Highland Healthcare Center is fortunate to employ the most experienced team of physical, occupational and speech therapists in our community. Our team works together to assist each guest in reaching their goals and returning to the community. Our clinical team provides care under the direction of an attending physician and coordination of our Rehab Director. Our team includes an RN, LPN and Certified Nursing Assistants with permanent assignments to the rehab guests, a social worker and activity leader.
If you or your loved one need more time to recuperate after a hospital stay or are in need of more intensive therapy after surgery, consider Highland Healthcare Center. We accept admissions from all local hospitals and from home, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
